Provided is a bar for forming occlusal surfaces with which occlusal surfaces can be easily formed in identical shapes during the formation of an anchor tooth. This bar (10) which is for forming occlusal surfaces and used in the formation of an anchor tooth has: a shank (15) for connecting to a rotating mechanism; and a work unit (11) provided on one end of the shank (15). The work unit (11) has the shape of a rotary body rotating around the shank (15) and comprises, in order from the tip end side, a head section (11a), an inclined surface forming section (11b), and a corner forming section (11c). The head section (11a) has substantially a disk shape in which the central position of a side surface is farthest from the rotation axis. The inclined surface forming section (11b) has a tapered shape having a diameter that gradually decreases at a constant rate from the head section (11a) toward the corner forming section (11c). The corner forming section (11c) has a curved surface shape that is smoothly connected to the inclined surface forming section (11b) and has a diameter that increases toward the shank (15).
