PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the degree of freedom of a molded shape of cooked rice in a cooked-rice molding apparatus.SOLUTION: The cooked-rice molding apparatus includes: a turntable 13 that rotates in a horizontal direction intermittently a plurality of molding holes 17 that are formed in a circumferential direction of the turntable 13 at given intervals, and have a shape that opens laterally outward and upward a cooked-rice charging section 20 from which the cooked rice is charged to the molding hole 17 and a molding section 21 that molds the cooked rice charged to the molding hole 17 into a given shape by compressing from the lateral direction and upper direction.
