PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sterilizing a powder article with no quality deterioration of a biological material or its processed product during production process and storage, few in bacteria count therein, and good in hygienic viewpoint as well.
SOLUTION: In a method for producing a powder article by extracting an active ingredient from a biological material or its processed product using a liquid solvent, or by mixing the biological material or its processed product with the liquid solvent followed by drying, ethanol is used as at least part of the liquid solvent, thereby accomplishing the object.
