PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bus getting-on/off elevating device for passengers who have difficulty in getting on and off a bus such as handicapped people capable of enhancing safety, and increasing an applied load, and a bus equipped with the elevating device.SOLUTION: Elevating devices 1 to 4 include a frame body 10 that partitions an elevating zone within a passenger compartment of a bus 50 and has a doorway 13 into the bus passenger compartment, an elevating box 20 having a doorway 21 arranged free to get on and off and move within the frame body 10 and leading to the outside of the bus, and a doorway into the bus passenger compartment opposed to the doorway 13 of the frame body 10, and a driving unit 30 that drives to pick up and drop off the elevating box 20 between a ground surface and a floor surface of the bus passenger compartment in the frame body 10. The elevating devices 1 to 4 accommodate passengers in the elevating box 20, and perform bus loading and unloading by elevating it. The elevating device 3 can move in a bus width direction, and the elevating device 4 in a bus rearward direction by a movement mechanism 40, respectively.
