The present invention relates to a device which is capable of freely opening and closing a light shielding colored window attached to a welding helmet and others even without using the hand at all by using chin of the worker under a worker&primes will, as an opening and closing device of a colored window for welding. The purpose of the present invention is to provide an opening and closing device of a colored window, which prevents a drop in efficiency caused by harm to the worker&primes eyes or inconvenience in work according to cumbersomeness as the colored window has conventionally been opened and closed using one hand. In order to solve the problems, the opening and closing device according to the present invention includes: a sling which enables a chin holder connected to the sling to receive movements of chin vertically moved, and which transmits the movements of the chin to the control stick a control stick which is connected to the sling and receives the movements of the chin to gradually rotate the control stick as long as a predetermined distance a control disk which is operated by the control stick and operates the frame gear a frame gear which is operated by the control disk and coupled to the light-shielding frame and a light-shielding frame which is coupled to the frame gear and operated by movements of the frame gear.
