PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brain function-improving composition for obtaining a brain function-improving effect, the composition being capable of preventing aspiration without losing the texture by chewing and moreover promoting not only intestinal absorption but also sublingual absorption to allow an active ingredient phosphatidylcholine to reach to the brain, the absorption being primarily direct absorption into the capillary of the tongue among oral mucosal absorption, such as the tongue, palatal mucosa, and buccal mucosa.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided a brain function-improving composition comprising phosphatidyl choline as a main component in a gel matrix. Here, the composition promotes activation of the brain by oral ingestion.
