PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition which can be easily and continuously taken and can efficiently improve or keep a mastication force, and to provide a method for improving a mastication force using the same.SOLUTION: A composition for improving a mastication force has elasticity and has a width of 15-50 mm, a length of 7-65 mm and a height of 7-20 mm and accordingly can be taken to a mouth at a mouthful, has such a size that a position cannot be easily changed by using a tongue in an oral cavity, does not need to move a bolus to molar teeth by a lateral motion of the tongue, can form the bolus by a vertical motion of the tongue, can effectively improve or keep a performance of "finely crushing and biting any food", and accordingly can efficiently improve or keep a mastication force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2【課題】 容易に継続して摂取することができ、かつ咀嚼力を効率よく向上または維持させることができる組成物およびこれを用いた咀嚼力を向上させる方法を提供する。【解決手段】 本発明の咀嚼力向上用組成物は、弾性を有し、かつ幅15～50mm、長さ7～65mmおよび高さ7～20mmの大きさであるため、一口で口に入れることができ、かつ口腔内で舌を使って位置を容易に変更できない大きさを備えており、舌の左右運動で食塊を臼歯へ移動させる必要がなく、舌の上下運動によって食塊形成することができ、「あらゆるものを細かく砕いて噛みちぎる」という処理能力を効果的に向上または維持することができるため、咀嚼力を効率よく向上または維持させることができる。【選択図】 図2
