The invention relates to an artificial dermis (1)obtained from plasma containing platelets (2) and humanfibroblasts (3). Said plasma with platelets (2) isobtained by fractionating the whole blood (4) of thepatient (8) by means of light centrifugation and the humanfibroblasts (3) are obtained from a skin biopsy (5). Thegelation is obtained by adding calcium. The inventiveartificial dermis (1) favours a rapid growth of thekeratinocytes (6) seeded on the surface thereof in order toform an artificial skin (7) that can be easilytransplanted. Large areas of artificial dermis (1) areobtained from a small skin biopsy (5) and from minimumquantities of plasma with platelets (2). Said plasma isrich in cytokines and in platelet growth factors andtherefore stimulates the proliferation of the seeded cells,both internally and on the surface. The artificial skin(7) thus produced can be used for the treatment of seriousburns, chronic cutaneous ulcers, etc. or as a base for genetherapy through the use of genetically modified cells.
