PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide food washing equipment capable of reliably and efficiently washing a solid matter that easily sinks in the water, and of being installed in a small space.SOLUTION: The equipment includes: upper-stage, middle-stage and lower-stage washing tanks 2, 3, 4; a discharge passage 6 accompanying a water flow generation source; a conveyor for discharge 7; and a washing water injector 9 for generating a stream within the washing tanks. A solid matter, put in from an upper aperture of the upper-stage washing tank 2, is carried by the streams generated within the upper-stage, middle-stage and lower-stage washing tanks 2, 3, 4, is moved sequentially to a lower tank from send-out ports 2d, 3e, while it is washed, and is collected by the conveyor for discharge 7.
