An insecticidal composition is provided, the composition comprising: a) an insecticidally effective amount of one or more compound having the general formula (I): in which: R1 is alkyl, halogen, or CN； R2 is 4,5-dicyanoimidazol 2-yl, haloalkyl, or S(O)mR7； R3 is hydrogen, halogen, NR8R9, S(O)nR10, C(O)R11, alkyl, haloalkyl, OR12, or N=CR13R14； R4 and R6, each independently represent hydrogen, halogen, haloalkyl, CN, or NO2； R5 is hydrogen, halogen, haloalkyl, haloalkoxy, or S(O)pR15； R7, R10, R12 and R15 each independently represent alkyl or haloalkyl； R8 and R9 each independently represent hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, haloalkyl, alkoxycarbonyl, or S(O)qCF3； R11 and R14 each independently represent hydrogen or alkyl； R13 is phenyl optionally substituted by one or more halogen atoms or a member selected from OH, alkyl, alkoxy, and cyano； and m, n, p, and q independently represent 0, 1, or 2； and b) at least one nitrogen-based fertilizer. The nitrogen-based fertilizer reduces the phytotoxic effects of the compound of general formula (I) on the target plants.
