The invention relates to a stabilising system designed to stabilise irrigators, especially large irrigators, against wind damage. The stabilisation system includes a series of water inflatable bags 17 which are mounted at intervals along the length of the truss 13 of an irrigator to be stabilised. Water is supplied to the bags 17 by means of a water supply pipe 25, and each bag is secured to the adjacent part of the truss 13 by means of a rope 18 supported upon a pulley 19. When stabilisation is required, water is supplied to the bag 17 through the pipe 25 and the bag is lowered to the ground, to act as a stabiliser for the irrigator. Additional ropes 34 provide further connection between the truss to be stabilised and the corresponding bags 17.
