PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a solid detergent capable of efficiently produce a high quality solid detergent with which powdery raw materials hardly attach to a mold, when producing the solid detergent by compressing the powdery raw material using a mold.SOLUTION: A mold to be used is configured by including a mortar 3 having a through-hole 2 penetrating vertically, a lower pestle 4 slidably inserted into the through-hole 2 of the mortar 3 from under side, and an upper pestle 5 removably inserted into the through-hole from upper side. A powdery raw material 15 containing at least a soap component is filled in a cavity 6 demarcated by the mortar 3 and a pestle tip 41 of the lower pestle 4 in the through-hole 2 pressure molding the powdery raw material 15 by the pestle tip 41 of the lower pestle 4 and a pestle tip 51 of the upper pestle 5 to obtain the solid detergent 20 and discharging the solid detergent 20 from the through-hole 2.
