PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method capable of obtaining particulate inorganic powder, in the application for cosmetics, coating material or the like, easily dispersible into a matrix even without performing strong shear dispersion treatment using a bead mill or the like and having a sharp particle diameter distribution.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing particulate inorganic powder comprising: a step (1) where slurry containing inorganic particles with the average crystalline diameter of 5 to 40 nm is atomized and dried at 150 to 300°C and a step (2) where inorganic powder obtained by the step (1) is pulverized.
