The foamed tea beverage of claim 1, wherein the foam is stable. The foamed tea beverage of claim 1, wherein the average size of the foam bubbles is less than 100 microns. A foamed tea beverage according to claim 1, wherein at least 50% of the bubbles are less than 50 microns in size. A foamed tea beverage according to claim 1, wherein the bubbles are completely released from the liquid in the mixture of the liquid and the bubbles more than 4 minutes after dispensing the finished beverage from the vending machine. The foamed tea beverage of claim 7, wherein the bubbles are able to redisperse in a liquid while stirring the beverage. The foamed tea beverage according to claim 1, wherein the powdered tea composition comprises: at least 0.7% by weight of tea extract powder and at least 1% by weight of food acid. The foamed tea beverage according to claim 1, wherein the powdered tea composition comprises: from 0.7% to 55% by weight of tea extract powder, and from 1% to 55% by weight of citric acid.
