A method and a system for detecting blepharoptosis are provided to solve the problems that the conventional method is time-consuming and that an error maybe caused due to different measured results made by different physicians. The method and the system include generating an eye image by a photo unit capturing an image of an eye, generating an edge image by a processing unit performing an image processing on the eye image, performing calculations on the eye image and the edge image by the processing unit to obtain a plurality of variables of features, generating a group of feature parameters by the processing unit performing calculations according to the variables of features, and comparing the group of feature parameters with a preset information to obtain the data of the severity of blepharoptosis and the levator function.一種眼瞼下垂檢測方法及系統，用以解決習知人工眼瞼下垂檢測方法需耗費大量時間，以及不同醫師量測不一致造成測量結果產生誤差的問題。該方法及系統係包含：以一攝影單元拍攝產生一眼部影像；以一處理單元對該眼部影像執行影像處理，產生一邊緣影像；以該處理單元對該眼部影像及該邊緣影像執行影像運算，取得複數個特徵變數；以該處理單元依據該複數個特徵變數計算，取得一特徵參數組；及以該處理單元將該特徵參數組與一預設眼瞼下垂資訊相比對，推知眼瞼下垂之嚴重程度及提眼肌之功能。
