PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper capable of inhibiting leakage of stool by means of a standing gather.SOLUTION: A standing gather 15 in a disposable diaper 1 includes: a base end part that cannot stand； and a standing part that can shrink in the length direction by means of an elastic member and can stand toward the skin-facing side in the thickness direction using the base end part as a fulcrum. The base end part has: first base end parts which are respectively arranged on both outer sides in the length direction relative to the standing part； and second base end parts arranged on the outer side in the width direction relative to the standing part. The standing part has a bonding part 153 at which side sheets 14 are bonded to each other on the inner side in the width direction relative to each of the second base end parts. The bonding part is provided in a rear side region 2.
