Automatic farm animal feed pipe delivery system - comprising pipes and branch pipes and data processing centre which controls flow in pipes using values in distributor unit
Animal feed is stored in suitable containers before it is mixed with water and pumped through pipes to the feeding points. Before the equipment goes into operation, the vol. of the pipes (9,14,15,16) and the length of the pipe branches between the mixer vessel (1) and the individual delivery points (20-26) are measured and this information registered in the data processing centre. Branched pipe routes (14,15) are taken by the animal food mixt. from the pump (10) to the delivery points (20-26) and (16), the outlet (18) and the paths (14,15) leading to the delivery points (20-26) join together after the furthest delivery points (22,23) from the distribution unit (13). Valves in the distributor unit (13) are controlled by the data processing unit (3) to direct the flow into one of the pipes (14,15,16). USE/ADVANTAGE - The process and arrangement mixes animal feed with water and pumps it to the delivery point. Registering the pipe vol. data enables the computer to deduce how much fluid and what kind of feed is in which pipe, enabling the computer to give the correct command as to which pipe branch shall receive a renewed charge, and from which side the charge will be pumped.
