PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means capable of securely coupling a rootstock and a scion with a sufficient strength without causing damage of the contact between a rootstock and a scion, lowering of the survival ratio of grafting seedlings due to dryness or the like, or crooking of the stem of a grafting seedling.SOLUTION: During operation of a tube fitting device 51, a long tube 42 with a vortex-like transverse section is supplied from a tube reel 52 to a tube guide 53. The long tube 42 is extended radially, untangled the vortex-like shape and transformed to a nearly C shape in a transverse section by the tube guide 53. Below the tube guide 53, a lower end portion of the long tube 42 with the nearly C-shaped transverse section is held by a tube fitting head 56, and then cut by a tube cutter 55 to a predetermined length to become a tube piece 43. The tube piece 43 is externally engaged with and fitted to the stem of a rootstock 7 and a scion 9 by the tube fitting head 56.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】台木と穂木の当接部の損傷、乾燥等による接木苗の活着率の低下、あるいは接木苗の茎部のいびつ化を生じさせることなく、台木と穂木とを十分な強度で確実に結合させることができる手段を提供する。【解決手段】チューブ装着装置51の運転時には、チューブリール52から供給される渦巻き状の横断面を有する長尺チューブ42がチューブガイド53に供給される。長尺チューブ42はチューブガイド53によって径方向に拡張され、渦巻きが解きほぐされて略C字形の横断面を有する状態となる。チューブガイド53の下方で、略C字形の横断面を有する長尺チューブ42の下端部は、チューブ装着ヘッド56によって保持された後、チューブカッター55によって所定の長さに切断されてチューブ片43となる。チューブ片43は、チューブ装着ヘッド56によって台木7及び穂木9の茎部に外嵌・装着される。【選択図】図8
