PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slit pipe in which a torque transmission property at least in one-way rotation is improved and which is prevented from being axially elongated/contracted, a slit pipe capable of easily adjusting rigidity or a slit pipe in which a torque transmission property balanced on a circumferential cross section is improved, or a guide wire which employs the slit pipe and can be easily manufactured.SOLUTION: A slit pipe 1 comprises, in any other region than both end portions in a length direction, a slit 5 which is formed spirally with respect to the length direction, and a plurality of beams formed in the middle of the spiral slit so as to be spread over the slit.
