PURPOSE: A method of making a functional egg by feeding chicken drinking water containing microorganism, herbs and loess, and feed containing tourmaline, quartz porphyry, pine needles or the like is provided. It removes various bacteria and a fishy smell and reduces a cholesterol content from the egg. CONSTITUTION: In the method of rearing chickens, chicken drinking water containing microorganism, herbs and loess, and feed containing tourmaline, quartz porphyry, pine needles or the like are fed the chickens. The herbs contain Paeoniae Radix, Acanthopanax Senticosus, Corni Fructus, Glycyrrhizae Radix and Angelicae Gigantis Radix.
