PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root crop harvester capable of avoiding a low-position selecting operation to become heavy burden on a selection transport device for adjusting the discharge drop of a transfer terminal end by an inclining operation.SOLUTION: A root crop harvester is constituted to comprise an extraction transport device (24), a selection transport device (87), a housing container mounting member (85) and a recovery stand (115). The root crop harvester further comprise a rising seat (202) for receiving the bottom of a housing container (97), a telescopic support device (201) for supporting the rising seat (202) telescopically over the recovery stand (115), and a yield sensor (U) for detecting the quantity of the contained crop of the housing container (97).
