PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root crop harvester in which a harvest storage container can be lowered to a position free of hindrance for operation run without requiring moving of the machine, by means of a recovery container discharging device of a harvest recovery part.SOLUTION: The root crop harvester includes a pulling-up/carrying device (2) for pulling up and carrying crops and a crop recovery part (4) for recovering crops into a recovery container, with the two sections structured dividedly on both sides of a body frame (1a). In addition, the harvester includes a taking-over/carrying device (3) for taking over the two sections, by arranging in-between in a manner capable of running the field. Also, a recovery container discharging device (11) is included which supports the recovery container by facing at the carrying end of the taking-over/carrying device (3) and which discharges and moves the container outside the machine.
