Disclosed is a method and system for generating a virtual CT image and attenuation correction PET image based on PET image. A method of generating a virtual CT image and attenuation correction PET image based on a PET image includes (a) a network learning unit performing machine learning based on a PET image and a CT image included in the PET / CT data； (b) a CT image generation unit receiving a PET image, and generating a virtual CT image from the received PET image based on the machine learning result； And (c) an attenuation correction map generation unit generating an attenuation correction PET image from the virtual CT image.PET 영상에 기반한 가상 CT 영상 및 감쇠보정 PET 영상 생성 방법 및 시스템이 개시된다.
