PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a posture of seedlings of onions, Welsh onions, etc., from changing at the time of delivering thereof from a seedling transfer device even when planting disks are vertically moved. SOLUTION: This transplanter is obtained by installing the seedling transfer device 16 for nipping each seedling B and downwardly transferring the seedling B in a car body 2, arranging a planting mechanism 9 on a shaking frame 12 vertically, freely and movably supported in the car body 2, freely rotatably installing a pair of the flexible planting disks 49 arranged in an opposite state so as to receive the seedling B from the lower part of the seedling transfer device 16 and feed the received seedling B to a planting furrow A in the planting mechanism 9, arranging plural compacting wheels 50 in a nearly circular arc state in an area from a position at an intermediate height of the planting disks 49 to the lower part thereof in the lateral side of the planting disks 49 so as to press the pair of the planting disks 49 in the opposite direction, supporting the compacting wheel 50 in the topmost position in the plural compacting wheels 50 on the side of the seedling transfer device 16 and supporting the other compacting wheels 50 on a shaking frame 12.
