PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perfume compound capable of effectively masking a specific odor of &alpha-naphthol in a first agent of a two-pack type oxidation hair dye comprising the &alpha-naphthol formulated as a coupler.SOLUTION: At least one kind of masking agent selected from the perfume compound group is used and the masking agent is added in an amount of 0.0001-3,000 ppm.
