PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire an image such that the posture of a biological region included in an image highly suitable as authentication biological information can be precisely detected.SOLUTION: A first calculation part 12 calculates an index indicative of suitability as authentication biological information of biological authentication as to an image of the biological region acquired by a photography part 11 based upon the image. A selection part 13 alternates a first environment and a second environment as a photography environment for photography of a next image that the photography part 11 is to acquire next based upon the index of the image of the biological region that the photography part 11 acquires before the next image. The first environment is an environment used to acquire an image used as the authentication biological information, and the second environment is an environment used to acquire an image used to detect information on the posture of the biological region.
