PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equilibrating device for a surgical microscope held to a stand via a rotating support to make an operating surgeon easily operable.SOLUTION: An equilibrating device B is attached to a rotating support 5, and an optical mechanism rack 9 and its additional unit are equipped with displacement units 6, 7 and 8 having 2 sliding bodies S1 and S2 to equilibrate the additional unit to X, Y and Z directions, when pertinent. Both sliding bodies S1 and S2 of the Y and Z displacement units 7 and 8 of the equilibrating device B are constructed as cross slinging bodies 12.
