PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid oral composition which improves the stability of an ascorbic acid phosphate ester in a liquid oral composition comprising an ascorbic acid phosphate ester, simultaneously inhibits the reduction of a persistence rate thereof and the formation of sediment thereof with time, and has a good use feeling instead of an uncomfortable feeling and a method for stabilizing an ascorbic acid phosphate ester or a salt thereof in the liquid oral composition.SOLUTION: The liquid oral composition is obtained by incorporating (B) an organic acid or a salt thereof and (C) an orthophosphate salt into a liquid oral composition containing (A) an ascorbic acid phosphate ester or a salt thereof and not containing an abrasive, and has a pH of 6.5-8.0 and a water content of 60 mass% or more.
