PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly coupling instrument that is not obstructive even if it is fixed to a medical stand.SOLUTION: A coupling instrument 1 is to couple a wheelchair 3 with a medical stand 2. The coupling instrument 1 includes a fixed part 4 fixed to the medical stand 2, a rod-like part 5 rotatably coupled to the fixed part 4, and a coupling part 6 provided to the tip of the rod-like part 5 that can be coupled to the wheelchair 3. A switching mechanism is provided between the fixed part 4 and the rod-like part 5 that can switch states between a fixed state in which the fixed part 4 and the rod-like part 5 are fixed without a gap and a separate state in which the rod-like part 5 is separated away from the medical stand 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
