The present invention relates to a novel use of Helena root extract, and more specifically, relates to a composition for preventing and treating brain cancer, the composition comprising Helena root ethanol extract as an active ingredient, and to a cosmetic composition for preventing brain cancer, the cosmetic composition comprising the Helena root ethanol extract, which includes a cosmetologically acceptable cosmetic supplement additive, as an active ingredient.
