Even if sea water and the like enter a winding reel via through holes of the winding reel, a sound producing mechanism of the winding reel is not liable to go wrong. A winding reel sound producing mechanism of the single bearing fishing reel includes a sound producing part, a pedestal part, a claw part, a first force applying part, a second force applying part and an operation part. The sound producing part is connected onto a winding reel and can rotate along with the winding reel. The pedestal part is supported on a fishing reel main body and can move between a first position and a second position. When the pedestal part is placed in the first position, the claw part can contact the sound producing part, and when the pedestal part is placed in the second position, the claw part is separated from the sound producing part. The first force applying part applies forces to the pedestal part to make the pedestal part in the first position or the second position. The second force applying part applies forces to the claw part to make the claw part contact the sound producing part. The pedestal part is operated by the operation part to move between the first position and the second position.
