The present invention is a plant cultivation device (99) having a cultivation tank (19), a water tank (30) and a heat collecting portion (56) for growing plants. The water tank 30 supplies the cultivation water to the cultivation tank 19 via the water passage 38. The water tank 30 further sucks the cultivation water from the cultivation tank 19 via the take-up pipe 36. The collecting portion 56 has an air storage portion 57 communicating with the upper portion of the water tank 30. The collector 56 receives the sunlight 93 and presses the water surface in the water tank 30 by the pressure of the air warmed in the air reservoir 57. The water tank 30 supplies the cultivation water pressurized by air from the upper direction to the discharge material 90 arrange positioned in the cultivation tank 19 through the irrigation channel 38. The heat collecting portion 56 raises the water surface in the water tank 30 as the warmed air cools down by the reduction of sunlight 93.
