The device (1) has a suction element (3) arranged in a direction of flow before a filter (6), where the suction element, by which fluid is more supplied to the filter. A helical suction tube (4) is arranged in the suction element. Radius and/or pitch of the helix over length of the helical suction tube is variable or constant, where the helical suction tube comprises round or oval inner cross-section. The inner cross-section is constant over the length of the helical suction tube. The filter and the helical suction tube are formed by a helical filter element. An independent claim is also included for a suction device comprising a conveying device.
