PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-in-water emulsion type makeup cosmetic having good sense of use and excellent storage stability.SOLUTION: There is provided an oil-in-water emulsion type makeup cosmetic which comprises (A) an oil component, (B) a higher alcohol, (C) a surfactant, (D) an inorganic powder and (E) a polymer of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer crosslinked with a water-soluble crosslinking agent.
