PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an electric field stereoscopically in all directions for foodstuff, in an electric field processing apparatus for a fryer. SOLUTION: The electric field processing apparatus for the fryer includes: a fryer body 1 provided with a fryer side cover body 5 which is swingably opened/closed in an oil tank 2; and a frying basket 10 which is accommodated via a support member 12 composed of an insulating material in the oil tank and is applied with high voltage from the outside. The frying basket is constituted by a basket body 11 in a casing shape provided with many through holes, and a basket side cover body 16 which is swingably opened/closed with respect to the basket body; swinging directions of a fryer side cover body and the basket side cover body are matched; and a front side of the fryer side cover body and an rear side of the basket side cover body are connected by a flexible thread body 18, so that the basket side cover body is opened/closed as the fryer side cover body is opened/closed.
