PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a β-cryptoxanthin composition utilizable for a supplement at a low cost.SOLUTION: A hexane extract in a soluble part is acquired by adding hexane to a powder obtained by drying a plant body containing carotenoid so as to have a water content of ≤5%. A concentrate is acquired by concentrating the hexane extract. A low-concentration carotenoid composition is acquired by re-dissolving the condensate by adding a prescribed amount of the hexane thereto, cooling the re-dissolved product to a temperature of from about -20°C to about -30°C, subjecting the product to a centrifugal treatment, and collecting and concentrating the soluble part. The carotenoid composition is produced by adding ethanol in a prescribed amount to the low-concentration carotenoid composition, cooling the resultant product to a temperature of from about -20°C to about -30°C, and obtaining an insoluble part by centrifugal separation.
