Die Erfindung betrifft einerseits Verfahren zum Herstellen von fetthaltigen Lebensmittel- oder Futter-Pellets, enthaltend die folgenden Schritte: a) Bereitstellen oder Herstellen einer Masse, die einen Feststoffanteil und Wasser enthält, wobei der Feststoffanteil mindestens eine fetthaltige Komponente, insbesondere mindestens eine Ölsaat enthält und der Gesamtanteil der fetthaltigen Komponente(n) im Feststoffanteil im Bereich von Gew.-% bis 99 Gew.-%, bevorzugt von 25 Gew.-% bis 95 Gew.-%, weiter bevorzugt von 50 Gew.-% bis 85 Gew.-%, besonders bevorzugt von 60 Gew.-% bis 80 Gew.-% liegt； b) Kochen der Masse； c) Entfernenzumindest eines Teils des in der Masse enthaltenen Wassers； d) Formen der Masse zu Pellets.
