Under one aspect of the present invention, a system for performing renal denervation in a patient having an aorta and a renal artery and a branchpoint therebetween includes a flexible catheter comprising a main section, first and second arms, and a bifurcation between the first and second arms, the main section having a proximal end and a distal end, the distal end configured to be disposed in the aorta, the first arm being coupled to the distal end of the main section and configured to be disposed in the renal artery, the second arm being coupled to the distal end of the main section and configured to be disposed in the aorta, the bifurcation between the first and second arms being configured to engage the branchpoint between the aorta and the renal artery.Sous un aspect de la présente invention, on procure un système pour effectuer une dénervation rénale chez un patient ayant une aorte et une artère rénale et un point de branchement entre elles qui inclut un cathéter flexible comprenant une section principale, un premier et un second bras, et une bifurcation entre le premier et le second bras, la section principale ayant une extrémité proximale et une extrémité distale, lextrémité distale étant configurée pour être disposée dans laorte, le premier bras étant couplé à lextrémité distale de la section principale et configuré pour être disposé dans lartère rénale, le second bras étant couplé à lextrémité distale de la section principale et configuré pour être disposé dans laorte, la bifurcation entre le premier et le second bras étant configurés pour engager le point de branchement entre laorte et lartère rénale.
