The present invention relates to a method for performing hair care, wherein washing water containing citric acid is used to adjust pH isoelectric point when hair is washed in hot perm or hair dyeing, thereby minimizing damage to hair. The method of the present invention comprises: (a) a softening step of uniformly applying a softner (pH9-10) as a first agent among perm agents to hair to be permed； (b) an isoelectric point(pH) adjustment step of using a sprayer containing second washing water (pH1-2) to uniformly spray the second washing water to the softner-applied hair, thereby keeping an isoelectric point(pH) of the hair at 4.5-5.5； (c) a washing step of using the first washing water (pH2-3) to wash the hair of a subject getting a perm, thereby keeping isoelectric point(pH) of the hair at 4.5-5.5 after the softening step completed； (d) a winding and heat treatment step of using rods to perform winding of hair and using a heat treatment device to perform heat treatment for a predetermined time at a predetermined temperature after the first isoelectric point(pH) adjustment step and the washing step； (e) a hair neutralization step of applying second washing water firstly and then a neutralizing agent to the hair after the heat treatment completed； and (f) a final washing step of using third washing water (pH3-4) to eliminate all alkali neutralizing agents remaining on the hair when washing the hair after the neutralization step.
