PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform in a shorter time the step of correcting the aberration which occurs on a subject eye in an AO-SLO device or the like.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: wavefront measurement means for measuring the wavefront of reflected light from an imaging position on a subject and wavefront correction means for correcting the wavefront according to the measurement result of the wavefront. The imaging apparatus further comprises: control means for repeating the steps of specifying an imaging range of the subject in which an image is acquired, setting, after the specification of the imaging range, setting a wavefront measurement area within the imaging range in which the wavefront is measured, measuring the wavefront in the set wavefront measurement area, and changing the wavefront measurement area recording means for recording the position information of the wavefront measurement area within the imaging range in association with the information of the wavefront and image acquisition means for receiving the reflected light from the subject to acquire an image.
