The display control apparatus includes a first unit configured to obtain positional information of a surface of the object, and a second unit configured to cause the display unit to display the image of the photoacoustic image data on a surface having a shape as the surface-shape of the object or a similar shape as the surface-shape of the object on the basis of the positional information of the surface of the object.
