The display control apparatus includes first means configured to obtain positional information of a surface of the object, and second means configured to cause the display means to display the image of the photoacoustic image data on a surface having a shape as the surface-shape of the object or a similar shape as the surface-shape of the object on the basis of the positional information of the surface of the object.
