The invention relates in particular to a composition, preferably cosmetic, comprising at least one aqueous phase, at least one monoglyceride, at least one tartaric ester of monoglyceride, at least one polyol aromatic ether, at least one C1-C6 monoalcohol and at least one non-aromatic and non-etherified diol at C3-C6, preferably at C3-C5, and even more preferably at C3. The invention also relates to a cosmetic treatment process in which a composition as defined according to the invention is applied to keratin materials, and in particular to the skin. The composition thus obtained is stable over time both on the physico-chemical level and on the microbiological level and has good cosmetic properties, in particular a good sensoriality of freshness and a mattness performance.
