PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide medical appliances excellent in bending properties while holding the adhesive properties of a coil-shaped wire and the layer arranged to the inside to sufficiently ensure a lumenal area, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A catheter 100 is configured to include an inner layer 11 having a main lumen 20 therein, a coil layer 30 formed by winding a wire 31, of which the cross-sectional shape in the width direction is non-circular in the longitudinal direction, an outer layer 12 and a sub-lumen 80 through which operation wires 70 are inserted.
