The present invention relates to a sweetener composition comprising 80% to 95% by weight of crystalline powdered sorbitol and having an enthalpy of at most 150 J / g, a low specific surface area, a specific particle size and a good flow capacity. The present invention also relates to a process for producing such a novel sweetener composition. Finally, the invention also relates to the use of this sweetener composition in a process for producing chewing gum and tablets.
