The copolymer includes a copolymerized monomer unit of a quaternary ammonium-containing ligand monomer, an amide monomer, and an oxy monomer. The coating includes a plurality of test microorganisms. Optionally, the coating further comprises a water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer binder. A process test tool is also provided that includes a body having a hollow channel with an article fixedly disposed therein.
