PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein the height or angle of the palm rest provided on the front side of an operation panel can not be changed in a conventional ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus.
SOLUTION: A palm rest mechanism 32 is provided on the front side of the operation panel 16 and has a palm rest bar 34 and a variable mechanism 36. The palm rest bar 34 is attached to the operation panel 16 through a definite gap. That is, the palm rest bar 34 also functions as a handle. The variable mechanism 36 has a mechanism making both of the angle and position of the palm rest bar 34 variable. Specifically, the mechanism 36 has a mechanism provided on the right side thereof and a mechanism provided on the left side thereof. Further, the mechanism 36 has a mechanism for synchronizing the setting angles of the palm rest bar 34 in both mechanisms provided on the right and left sides of the mechanism 36.
