PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical observation device and a medical observation system each of which allows for improvement of convenience for a person viewing a display screen on which a medical captured image is displayed.SOLUTION: The medical observation device is provided that comprises: an imaging part having a first imaging device imaging a first medical captured image and having a plurality of pixels and a second imaging device imaging a second medical captured image and having a plurality of pixels in which the number of effective pixels is larger than that of the first imaging device； and a display control part causing a corresponding display device to display, on the display screen thereof, the first medical captured image and an image corresponding to a region set to the second medical captured image.
