PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid absorption core which allows presence or absence of liquid in a container to be visually determined easily in using a volatilization device that absorbs liquid and volatilizes it in the air.SOLUTION: A liquid absorption core 10 used for a volatilization device 100 for absorbing liquid L and volatilizing it in the air includes a holding material 11 for holding the shape, and a liquid absorption and volatilization layer 12 provided continuously or non-continuously along the axial direction of the holding material 11, which covers at least part of the surface of the holding material 11.
