PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which can be easily washed with water while containing a water absorptive polymer.SOLUTION: The absorbent article includes a surface seat, a reverse surface seat and an absorption layer which is located between both seats. The absorbent article has a lengthwise shape having a lengthwise direction and a width direction intersecting with the lengthwise direction, and the absorptive member has absorptive polymers. The absorptive polymers exist largely in the lower layer part of the non abutting side of the skin in the thickness direction.
